Ask for evidence tied to the stock
Start with the exact product, strength and lot being supplied. A supplier’s best-looking report may belong to another batch. Ask how the vial connects to the submitted laboratory sample and whether you can open the complete report.
Compare what was measured
- Identity: does the submitted sample match the intended compound?
- Purity: what method and calculation produced the percentage?
- Quantity: what amount was measured per vial or component?
- Contaminants: which targets were tested, with what results and reporting limits?
- Microbiology: are counts, endotoxin and sterility reported separately?
A long test list is not useful if entries are missing, pending or attached to the wrong lot. “Not detected” should come with a defined scope and reporting boundary.
Check the laboratory beyond its logo
Use the issuing laboratory’s verification service where available. Read its accreditation certificate and scope to check whether the relevant activity is covered. Accreditation and report authenticity do not by themselves connect a report to the vial. ISO: laboratory competence.
